MUSE: An open-source agent-based integrated assessment modelling framework

چکیده
Integrated assessment models (IAMs) are a cornerstone of an effective approach to climate change mitigation. Despite the variety methodologies for characterising energy system, land use change, economics, and response, modelling community has open urgent request tools capable more realistic interpretation transition, capturing human behaviour, embodying principles transparency, reproducibility, flexibility use. This paper presents open-source framework designed fill that gap. Named MUSE (ModUlar systems Simulation Environment), this new agent-based model supports flexible characterisation agent decision-making, including individual goals, bounded-rationality, imperfect foresight, limited knowledge during decision process. integrates in partial-equilibrium enables technology-rich description with unprecedented degree technological, temporal, geographical granularity. Risk Framework for Open Source Applications Using Agent Oriented Modelling
This paper aims to propose a novel risk framework utilizing agent oriented modelling in order to provide guidelines for the adoption of Open Source Software (OSS) solutions to an organization. Multiple studies have focused on user requirements and technical aspects when implementing OSS solutions. However, there is a lack of literature focusing on the social aspects of ‘why’ and ’how’ risks of ...
متن کاملSimCode: Agent-based Simulation Modelling of Open-Source Software Development
We present an original modeling tool, which can be used to study the mechanisms by which free/libre and open source software developers’ code-writing efforts are allocated within open source projects. It is first described analytically in a discrete choice framework, and then simulated using agent-based experiments. Contributions are added sequentially to either existing modules, or to create n...
متن کاملThe ACEWEM framework: An integrated agent-based and statistical modelling laboratory for repeated power auctions
We propose a novel framework for experimental designs of liberalised wholesale power markets, namely the Agent-based Computational Economics of the Wholesale Electricity Market (ACEWEM) framework. Here, we describe a detailed market simulation whereby the strategies of power generators emerge as a result of a stochastic profit maximisation learning algorithm based upon the GAMLSS (Generalized A...
متن کاملToward an Agent Based Model of Open Source Software Development
Open Source Software (OSS) development maintains the interest of researchers worldwide. A number of teams have begun investigating OSS as a self-organizing, collaborative social network. Of particular concern are its implications for proprietary software development firms who may adopt open source practices should they prove superior to centrally managed corporate structures. Also thought provo...
متن کاملAn Integrated Modelling Framework for the Forest-based Bioeconomy
This paper describes the conceptual design of a regional modelling framework to assess scenarios for the forest-based bioeconomy. The framework consists of a core set of tools: a partial equilibrium model for the forest sector, a forestry dynamics model for forest growth and harvest and a wood resources balance sheet. The framework can be expanded to include an energy model, a land use model an...
